Sometimes reassurance is exactly what a family needs. Other times, parents simply want someone knowledgeable to take a closer look.At Coastal Speech Therapy, families can talk directly with an experienced pediatric speech-language pathologist about their child's communication development, determine whether an evaluation may be appropriate, and leave with practical strategies they can begin using at home.

I'm Katie Farrell, M.S., CCC-SLP, owner of Coastal Speech Therapy. Before becoming a speech-language pathologist, I spent seven years as an elementary educator. That background continues to shape the way I approach communication: not as an isolated skill practiced for 30 minutes, but as something that develops through relationships, play, routines, learning and everyday life.

At Coastal Speech Therapy, therapy is designed to fit into your child's real life. Through play, everyday routines, and the activities your child already loves, we create meaningful opportunities for communication while helping caregivers understand how to support those skills naturally throughout the day.
Rather than simply sending home a list of things to practice, I work alongside families to model strategies, celebrate the communication that's already happening, and build on it in ways that feel realistic and sustainable.
Because the goal isn't just progress in speech therapy. It's communication that carries over into home, school, play, and everyday life.

There should be more than just 5 starts to rate Coastal Speech Therapy. Miss Katie ALWAYS went above and beyond for our kiddo.
